No matter how people in the US get their health insurance coverage – from an employer, an insurance broker, through Healthcare.gov, Medicare or another government program – at some point, most everyone faces a confusing situation or question they don’t know how to tackle. In this one hour webinar, advocates and counselors from the Patient Advocate Foundation and National MS Society will discuss common areas of confusion around health insurance affecting people with MS, how they work to resolve them, and resources and tips for getting the most out of health insurance coverage. Their topics will include minimizing out-of-pocket costs, accessing needing treatments, prescription drug formularies, and appealing denials for prescriptions, treatments, medical equipment, and more.
